Android Installation
On your Android Tablet/Smarphone (see the Installation Illustrations if you have questions)
Moving the maps to Oruxmaps directory
1. Open File Manager.
2. Select the "oruxmaps" directory, and then "mapfiles" directory.
3. Create a "Lake Powell" directory..
4. Back out to the "Internal Storage" directory visible on the top bar.
5. Switch to the "Download" directory.
6. Select the downloaded map files.
7. Select "Move" the files.
8. Navigate back to the "Oruxmaps/mapfiles/Lake Powell" directory.
9. Paste the files.
10. The downloaded files should now be in the "Oruxmaps/mapfiles/Lake Powell" directory.
Viewing Lake Level Maps
- Order your choice of Lake Level Maps.
- Look for a confirming order email with download links.
- Select the download text. You may have to edit the text highlighting the address and then touch the upper right magnifying glass.
- Download the Lake Level Maps to your Android device.
- Confirm the map has been download via pressing "Home", "APPS", "Downloads". The map(s) should be listed there.
- Download and install Oruxmaps, free from the Google Play Store > Apps.
- Download and install File Manager, free from the Google Play Store > Apps.
Moving the maps to Oruxmaps directory
1. Open File Manager.
2. Select the "oruxmaps" directory, and then "mapfiles" directory.
3. Create a "Lake Powell" directory..
4. Back out to the "Internal Storage" directory visible on the top bar.
5. Switch to the "Download" directory.
6. Select the downloaded map files.
7. Select "Move" the files.
8. Navigate back to the "Oruxmaps/mapfiles/Lake Powell" directory.
9. Paste the files.
10. The downloaded files should now be in the "Oruxmaps/mapfiles/Lake Powell" directory.
Viewing Lake Level Maps
- Open Oruxmaps.
- In the upper right corner of Oruxmaps tap the triple ":" action overflow.
- Select "Global Settings"
- Select "Advanced Preferences".
- Select "Maps"
- Select the "Maps directory" at the top.
- Select the "Lake Powell" directory.
- Now above the blue line press and hold the "Lake Powell" directory.
- Now scroll down to "Garmin map settings"
- Select "Use antialiasing".
- Unselect "Minus one detail level".
- The balance of selections are optional.
- Back out to the graphic map display.
- At the top of the screen press the paper "world map"
- Select "switch map", "Offline", "reset arrows" and then the map of your choice.
- Allow the map to load for several minutes.
- Now you should have a graphic map of Lake Powell.
